Depending on where we choose to
focus in life, we can observe
nothing, or we can observe
magic. It really is up to you.
We are all more similar than we choose to recognize. If you are like me, then you have gone through an experience that knocked you out of your focus. Has this ever happened to you?
The important thing to do at these times is to know that you have
stepped out of focus on your goal
temporarily, and make a plan to get back in focus. It is the most important thing to do at this time, if you are wanting to experience greatness.
Looking around, it appeared that every person around me was getting more success than me with seemingly less effort. I felt tired and dejected. I felt like I had failed again. What was I supposed to do when that happened to me? The only thing I could do is focus on what I'd like to see happen verses what my mind was tricking me to believe.
Our minds play tricks on us, don't they?
Don't allow that anymore.
- The truth of the matter is, we can get to our goals when we focus on the right thing, which is winning.
Today I tell myself everyday something that I learned from Les Brown:
"It's not over until I win!"
When I was coming up, I was told to get a day job for someone else's company, but I always replied: "I have a job, I'm a magician." Then they'd remind me that a job is when you get paid, and they pointed out how I was not getting paid, but the thing that saved me was my vision, where I chose to focus… and then
I got smart enough to move the hell out of there. I was so excited to get the hell away from those people that I was in Oregon, I came to Orlando! Haha!
3000 miles away from my family in order to keep my focus!
- The important thing in life is to get the hell away from people that don't help you focus on your dream.
It didn't take long after I made that leap to Florida for me to begin to make my living as a magician, and when I did that, believe me when I tell you, that year I became more successful than anyone who told me that I couldn't do it.
- Listen to yourself, listen to your spirit, listen to your gut. Dismiss the nay sayers.
